One of our most visible local initiatives is our Eyeglass Recycling Program. Those old frames sitting in your drawer can change a life. We collect used prescription glasses, reading glasses, and sunglasses through our local collection bins throughout Kittery and the Seacoast. Once processed, these glasses are distributed to people in need in developing countries, allowing a child to learn in school or an adult to maintain a job.

We also champion the use and recognition of the White Cane, a vital tool for safety and mobility. For decades, Lions have been instrumental in promoting white cane laws and safety awareness, ensuring that visually impaired neighbors can navigate our streets with dignity and security. By removing the cost for families, we ensure that Kittery’s youth can build the confidence and skills they need to thrive, both at camp and back home in our community.
